An online survey of 868 companies – primarily from the SME sector – conducted by the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM) revealed that the digitalization of business processes still lags far behind the possibilities. The survey asked about the degree of digitalization of 41 processes for which technologies and solutions are already known and available today. On a scale from 1 (no digitalization) to 4 (largely integrated digitalization), the participating companies were able to rate their processes.
The results are almost devastating. Even with procurement processes as the frontrunner, the average degree of digitalization is 2.18 (digitalized to a low degree).DISKOVER SCO at Serag Wiessner ensures delivery readiness and optimizes production control

The stock level of an item means that an item is in stock with planned stocks. The purpose of such planned stock is to be able to cover the requirements of a customer or the company’s own production immediately, at least in part. For stocked items, it is important to plan the required stock correctly using a correct safety stock and the correct MRP settings and MRP procedures.

Into the right orbit with the right sales planning software

At first glance, sales forecasting is easy for suppliers to the aerospace industry. Thanks to the tw. The demand forecast and the so-called cadences of the major aircraft manufacturers, which provide information on the expected monthly construction figures for the individual aircraft models, allow us to forecast demand figures very far in advance. On closer inspection, however, the supposedly comfortable forecasting situation turns out to be much more complex, uncertain and incomplete than one would think, because forecasting horizons and dosage forms vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, for example, forecasting qualities fluctuate or real orders and forecasting periods overlap. If you also want to develop an organizational and technically easy-to-handle overall concept for a consistent, automatic and rolling 24-month requirements forecast with automated calculation and control of the key figures from the patchwork of CSV files, Excel tables and PFDs, you should not try to do this in Excel. Instead, professional tools should be used that can massively reduce the complex planning effort.

Our consulting business is increasingly changing. While there used to be sufficient time reserves on the customer and consulting side to allow enough leeway for all-day workshops, it is increasingly difficult to find joint all-day appointments. Many project members have busy schedules with regular meetings or internal project coordination. The only remaining gaps therefore only offer a few hours of shared availability. The consequence is that an agreement is reached on the remaining time available. However, these two- to four-hour meetings no longer justify the sometimes high travel expenses and the associated high travel costs on the part of the consultants. The solution therefore lies in so-called remote meetings, in which communication takes place via appropriate tools such as Skype, Teamviewer or Webex.

HAMA optimizes planning through flexible standards

At first glance, “flexible standards” sounds like a contradiction in terms. In reality, however, it is the intersection of the positive aspects of two strategies, just as with the contradictory-sounding “mass customization”, for example, which combines the advantages of mass production (e.g. scaling effects) with the customer individualization that is increasingly in demand today.
