Version 4.0 of Diskover, the strategic scheduling system designed by Herzogenrath-based Abels & Kemmner GmbH for medium-sized wholesalers and series and variant manufacturers, is now also available as an operational management system for optimizing the supply chain from purchasing to delivery. <\/strong><\/p>\n It is characterized by extensive selection mechanisms for daily planning as well as by its portfolio analysis and simulation functions. In addition, Diskover also offers distribution-free disposition procedures. According to Abels & Kemmner, Diskover in its current evaluated version 4.0 is fully executable as an add-on tool under SAP and all common ERP, PPS and merchandise management systems. According to the manufacturer, its use is generally worthwhile from an average stock value of around 5 to 10 million DM.<\/p>\n With Diskover, Abels & Kemmner has achieved two contradictory goals for 34 companies to date: They increase the level of delivery readiness and reduce stock levels at the same time. 82% of the companies were able to save at least 15%, 32% were even able to save more than 25%.
