Home and gardening – GAH
A change from „Quick-Win“ to „Sustainable Success“
Suitable measures for the moment, which focus on the biggest stock drivers, may deliver the reduction of stock levels quickly. But those effects dissolve just as quickly, if sustainable measures for a permanently optimal stock levels are neglected. In cooperation with Abels & Kemmner, GAH Alberts achieved a drastic reduction of stock levels, based on short-term measures. To maintain these, a simultaneously developed and realised planning and scheduling process is now keeping the stock levels on a permanent low.
To make planning and scheduling even more efficient, GAH Alberts began a project in 2009 to reduce stock levels in a brief period. This first step led up to a systematic and sustainable approach to keep stocks low. The advantage of this method is to generate liquidity by stock reduction first, and implement the sustainability later.Download PDF
